LiveRoles and permissions
Defendy role hierarchy and permission matrix: who can ban, mute, warn, manage settings and manage roles.
Defendy roles decide which commands a member can use. A Telegram administrator and a Defendy role are related but not the same: administrators are set in the group settings, while Defendy roles are assigned with bot commands.

Special roles
- Exempt member (
/free) — immune to automatic filters. Can be assigned by a co-founder or owner. - Cleaner (
/cleaner) — message deletion only through/del,/sdel,/purgeand/spurge. This role does not grant warnings, mute, kick, ban, settings or role management, or immunity to filters. - Booster (
/booster) — a decorative role without moderation rights.
Reply to the target message for /del and /sdel, or to the first message in the range for /purge and /spurge. Bulk deletion is limited to 200 messages. The s variants are silent. The bot needs permission to delete messages in Telegram, and Telegram restrictions still apply. Permissions combine when a member has multiple roles.
Managing roles
Commands /mod, /halfmod, /helper, /cleaner, /booster, /admin, /cofounder, /free assign roles; the un prefix removes them. Point to a member by replying to a message, @username or numeric ID.
Defendy administrators and higher roles can open role member lists through commands ending in list (/adminlist, /modlist and so on), and /staff shows the group moderation team.
Grant the lowest role that fits the task. After changing administrators or their rights in Telegram, run /reload so the bot refreshes its data. /reload rebuilds administrator, co-founder and owner roles from Telegram: assignments made only inside Defendy can be replaced. It does not recreate moderator, helper or exempt-member roles. See the full command list.
