Updated Jul 21, 2026
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Action | Defendy's response: nothing, notify, warn, mute, kick or ban. Available actions depend on the module. |
| Notify | Report a violation without restricting the member. |
| Warning / warn | Violation points accumulated toward a threshold or escalation tier. |
| Warning weight | Points added by one filter event, usually 1 through 5. |
| Mute | Temporary or permanent inability to post without removing the member. |
| Kick | Removal without a lasting block; the member may return through a valid invite. |
| Ban | Member block. A duration of 0 in a ban context usually means permanent. |
| Filter | A message rule: text anti-spam, links, forwards, profanity or stop words. |
| Allowlist | Trusted sources or members exempt from the corresponding rule. |
| Denylist / blacklist | Sources always forbidden in the corresponding mode. |
| Blacklist-only mode | Allows everything except explicitly denied entries. |
| Threshold | Value that triggers an action: warning count, reactions, reputation score or joins. |
| Cooldown | Required delay before an action may repeat. Zero usually disables the limit. |
| Forum topic | Telegram topic inside a forum group. The default topic is used until a module has its own. |
| Group/topic/user ID | Numeric Telegram identifier used for diagnostics and exact binding. It is not a password, but should not be published without a reason. |
| Service message | Telegram-generated join, leave, pin, group-change, video-chat or similar event message. |
| Phrase / template | Saved greeting, farewell, rules or notification text with formatting, variables, media and buttons. |
| Variable | Marker such as {name} replaced with real data when Defendy sends the message. |
| Phrase rotation | Random selection from active phrases. When disabled, the default phrase is used. |
| Reputation / karma | Member trust score changed by votes, reactions and configured penalties. |
| Rank | Name and emoji assigned to a reputation range. |
| Decay | Gradual loss of weight for old reputation votes. Half-life is the time until weight becomes half. |
| Beta | Limited or staged rollout; do not make it the only critical control. |
| Planned | May appear in the UI but is disabled or not ready for operational use. |
