Time formats

How to specify a duration in Defendy's timed commands: the units m, h, d, w and examples for timed mutes and bans.

Timed moderation commands (/tban, /tmute, as well as /mute and /ban with a specified duration) accept a duration in the "number + unit" format.

Units

UnitMeaningExample
mminutes30m
hhours2h
ddays3d
wweeks1w

Rules

  • Write one number and one unit: 30m, 2h, 3d, 1w. Compound forms like 1h30m are not supported.
  • A reason can be added after the time: /tmute 2h flooding, /tban 3d advertising.
  • If no duration is specified, the action is permanent — until it is removed manually with the /unmute or /unban commands.

Duration in the panel

In the visual settings for filters and punishments, the duration is specified in seconds. A value of 0 means a permanent action. This applies, for example, to automatic mutes from anti-spam, anti-profanity and stop-words.
