Information commands

Information commands do not delete content or change settings on their own. Use them to verify setup, find identifiers and understand what your role can access.

Start and help#

/start in a private chat opens the main menu and WebApp. /help shows commands available in the current context and to your role.

If a documented command is absent from your help response, confirm the selected group and your role first.

Group rules#

/rules publishes the active rules. If Defendy reports that no rules exist, enable the module and create at least one active rule phrase in the WebApp. Test it from a regular member account after editing.

Member information#

/me shows your group role and available statistics. Use /status as a reply or provide a member:

/status @username

Operational member data requires a moderator role.

Group information#

/chat shows current group information and /chatid returns its numeric Telegram ID. This ID is useful for support and external logging. It is not the same as a forum topic ID.

Bot response check#

/ping verifies that Defendy sees and handles commands. A successful response does not prove the bot can ban, mute or delete; test those permissions separately.

Staff and role lists#

/staff shows the moderation team. Use /adminlist, /modlist, /halfmodlist, /cofounderlist, /cleanerlist, /helperlist, /boosterlist and /freelist for a specific role.

After assigning a role, check its list. Run /reload when Telegram administrator rights have changed.

Command prefixes#

Defendy accepts /, !, ., , and ;. This documentation uses / because Telegram renders it as a command.
