Reputation
LiveReputation
Reputation settings: voting modes, positive and negative votes, reactions, allowed voters and leaderboard.
Tip: change one option at a time and verify the result in the group so false positives are easy to spot.
In short
Reputation adds a configurable trust layer where members can vote on each other's messages and earn ranks.
How it works
- Defendy detects an enabled vote method: reply, mention, reaction or custom trigger.
- It checks whether the voter is allowed and whether positive or negative voting is enabled.
- The member's score changes, then ranks, notifications and optional moderation integrations are evaluated.
Set it up step by step
- Open Defendy in Telegram and choose the group you want to configure.
- Compare the current values with the defaults explained below.
- Change one option at a time; use the least disruptive value that meets your goal.
- Check the result in the group after saving.

Practical example
Enable positive reply voting for all members and keep downvotes off during the first week. Publish the accepted trigger words, then review the leaderboard before adding reactions or sanctions.
Recommendations
- Turn on reputation with positive votes first; add downvotes only when abuse controls are configured.
- Whitelist voting is safer for official expert-only scoring.
Troubleshooting
- Check that Defendy is still an administrator in the group.
- Refresh the settings panel and make sure you are editing the correct group.
- If a setting is saved but does not work, check the bot permissions in Telegram.
- If you are not sure what happened, open the moderation log.
