LiveReputation triggers
Reputation trigger settings: upvote words, downvote words and custom trigger rules.
Tip: change one option at a time and verify the result in the group so false positives are easy to spot.
In short
Triggers define which words change reputation and how custom phrases award points.
How it works
- A reply or mention is compared with the built-in and custom trigger words.
- A custom trigger checks who may send it, who may receive it and its point range.
- If all conditions pass, the calculated points are added or subtracted and a notification may be sent.
Set it up step by step
- Open Defendy in Telegram and choose the group you want to configure.
- Compare the current values with the defaults explained below.
- Change one option at a time; use the least disruptive value that meets your goal.
- Check the result in the group after saving.
Every setting explained
Upvote words
Default: +, +1, thanks....
Words that increase reputation when used in the configured voting mode.
Downvote words
Default: -, -1.
Words that decrease reputation.
Custom trigger words
Default: Empty.
Words or phrases for a custom reputation rule.
Point range
Default: 1..1.
Minimum and maximum points awarded by a custom trigger.
Sender and receiver rules
Default: All members.
Limits who can send the trigger and who can receive points.
Practical example
Add the uncommon phrase “excellent answer” as a +2 trigger available to all members. Avoid ordinary words such as “good”, which can award points during normal conversation.
Recommendations
- Keep trigger words short and unambiguous.
- Avoid common words that can appear in normal conversation.
Troubleshooting
- Check that Defendy is still an administrator in the group.
- Refresh the settings panel and make sure you are editing the correct group.
- If a setting is saved but does not work, check the bot permissions in Telegram.
- If you are not sure what happened, open the moderation log.
