Who is checked?#

New members joining the group, or users submitting a join request, depending on the selected mode.

Which challenges are available?#

Button, math, emoji, question and a random choice from the types you select.

What happens after failure?#

After the allowed attempts are exhausted or time runs out, Defendy applies the selected action: kick, restrict or ban. A temporary duration can be chosen for restrict and ban.

Does captcha work in forum groups?#

Yes. In-chat captcha can use the group's global topic or a dedicated topic set by sending /setcaptchatopic inside that topic.

Can I exempt trusted members?#

The API schema has user and role allowlist fields, but the current WebApp has no allowlist editor. The allowlist page describes this limitation explicitly.

Why was the member not removed?#

Check bot permissions, attempts, time limit and failure action. Telegram administrators cannot be restricted like regular members.
