Quick start

Overview#

Quick start is configured for each Telegram group through Defendy's settings panel in Telegram or supported bot commands. The exact controls depend on the feature, but the safe setup pattern is consistent.

Before you begin#

1. Add @defendy_bot to the target group.
2. Grant only the administrator permissions required by the enabled features.
3. Open settings from Telegram and select the group.
4. Test the configuration in a private group before enabling strict actions.

Configuration principles#

• start with conservative actions and review the moderation log;
• define exceptions before enabling broad filters;
• keep warning thresholds and restriction durations understandable;
• verify that administrators can recover from a mistaken action;
• change one setting at a time so the effect is measurable.

Troubleshooting#

If quick start does not behave as expected, confirm the bot is still an administrator, refresh the administrator list, make sure the feature is enabled and inspect the log. Telegram permission changes can make an otherwise valid configuration ineffective.
